Clidinium Bromide and Chlordiazepoxide Tablets

Nuzep-C is a powerful combination of an anticholinergic antispasmodic (Clinidium Bromide) and a mild anxiolytic (Chlordiazepoxide), designed to provide effective relief from stress-related gastrointestinal disorders.

• Clidinium Bromide 2.5 mg: Acts as an antispasmodic by reducing smooth muscle spasms in the gastrointestinal tract, providing quick relief from cramps, abdominal pain, and bloating.
• Chlordiazepoxide 5 mg: A benzodiazepine that reduces anxiety and stress, which are often associated with and exacerbate digestive disturbances.

Mechanism of action:- 

• Clidinium Bromide acts as an anticholinergic, relaxing smooth muscles of the GI tract and reducing spasms, cramps, and motility.
• Chlordiazepoxide is a benzodiazepine that enhances GABA activity in the brain, reducing anxiety and calming the gut-brain axis.

Indications:- 

• Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
• GI Disorders
• Abdominal cramps and spasm
• Stress-related GI symptoms
• Peptic ulcer–associated anxiety symptoms

 Common Side Effects:

• Drowsiness, dizziness, or lightheadedness
• Dry mouth, constipation, or blurred vision (due to anticholinergic effects)
• Fatigue or mild sedation
• Long-term use of chlordiazepoxide may cause dependence or tole
