Product description:– Phex-T is a fixed-dose combination of Trifluoperazine, a potent typical antipsychotic, and Trihexyphenidyl, a central anticholinergic used to prevent extrapyramidal side effects (EPS). This combination is especially beneficial in psychotic disorders where long-term antipsychotic use may induce movement-related side effects.

Mechanism of action:- Trifluoperazine: Blocks dopamine D2 receptors, reducing hallucinations, delusions, and agitation.

Trihexyphenidyl: Counters dopamine-blocking-induced motor side effects (like rigidity, tremors) by restoring dopaminergic-cholinergic balance in the basal ganglia.

Indication:-schizophrenia, anxiety and depression.

Common side effects:-

• Dry mouth, constipation

• Drowsiness or lightheadedness

• Blurred vision
