Product description:– Psyflu M is a synergistic combination of a mood-stabilizing antipsychotic (Flupentixol) and a tricyclic antidepressant (Melitracen), designed to relieve depression, anxiety, and psychosomatic disorders. It offers quick onset of action and improved patient compliance with minimal sedation.

Mechanism of Action :- Flupentixol+melitracen is used to treat psychogenic depression, depressive neurosis, psychosomatic affections accompanied by anxiety and apathy, asthenia.Melitracen: A tricyclic antidepressant (TCA) that primarily works by inhibiting the reuptake of norepinephrine and serotonin in the synaptic cleft, increasing their availability in the brain. This enhances mood and alleviates depressive symptoms.Flupentixol: A thioxanthene derivative with antipsychotic and antidepressant properties. It acts as a dopamine D2 receptor antagonist, blocking dopamine receptors in the brain, which helps regulate mood and reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression.

Indication:- psychogenic depression, depressive neurons, psychosomatic affections accompanied by anxiety and apathy, asthenia (abnormal physical weakness), menopausal depression, and depression in alcoholics and drug addicts

Common side effects:-

• Dry mouth and constipation
• Drowsiness or mild sedation
• Dizziness or lightheadedness
• Mild tremors or restlessness.
