AMISULPRIDE TABLETS– it comes under the branding of SYPRIDE-50 that belongs a category of medicine called atypical antipsychotic which works by modulating the effects of some harmful chemical messengers in the brain that cause your thoughts. It also treats long term schizophrenia that is characterised by seeing things that are not real and wrong beliefs. In schizophrenia problems, there are positive symptoms along with negative symptoms. You are advised to take it for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you depending on your medical condition
Amisulpride Tablets is also used for treating nausea , an uneasy feeling in which the patient feels an urge to vomit and vomiting is an uncontrollable reflex. This medicine contains Amisulpride, which helps restore the balance of certain natural substances in the brain. The key action of AMISULPRIDE is to block some of the dopamine receptors in the brain and correct dopamine’s overactivity. It also affects brain neurotransmitters like serotonin. This tablet also stops the sensation of vomiting/nausea by blocking the D2 receptors located in the chemoreceptor trigger zone – CTZ of the brain responsible for inducing vomiting.
This tablet has anti-emetics properties used either in monotherapy or in combination with other antiemetic drugs to prevent nausea and vomiting, which might occur after surgery. You can use the following diseases that are described below.
When should I miss it?
The time of taking the tablet will be suggested by your doctor depending upon your dose. Doses up to 300 mg can be taken anytime of the day but preferably at the same time each day. Doses more than 300 mg can be taken half in the morning and half in the evening. You can take the medicine during or between meals.
Can it be safe for children?
you should not take this medicine if you are under 15 years of age, allergic to it, have breast cancer or a tumour known as prolactinoma. If you give your children then firstly consult your doctor.
